Rolling Stone: Stories From the Edge is a two-part documentary jointly produced by HBO and Jigsaw Productions, chronicling the magazine’s enduring legacy in journalism, American culture and rock n’ roll. The film is strung together by the stories behind key Rolling Stone magazine articles that defined the times, told through the lens of editors.

Taking inspiration from the magazine’s production process, our design samples from Rolling Stone Magazine’s extensive archive of images and materials. We wanted to invite the audience along on an immersive journey back in time, following the ‘making of’ the magazine.

Such a pleasure to have had access to Rolling Stone’s extensive archive, which included every page of the magazine throughout the ages.

In this particular part of the story, we followed Ben Fong-Torres as he puts together a feature article on Ike and Tina Turner’s tumultuous relationship.
